Head of Finance

The Head of Finance will take a leading role within the Group during a key phase of growth and strategic development. This position is responsible for overseeing financial operations across select companies within the group, spanning aviation, fire safety, and security, while ensuring strong financial governance, compliance, and forward-looking financial strategy.

This is a hands-on leadership role for a qualified and warranted accountant who is confident, detail-oriented, and ready to drive financial excellence that supports business transformation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic and operational financial leadership across assigned companies within the Group.

• Oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting to support informed decision-making.

• Ensure compliance with Maltese accounting standards, tax regulations, and statutory requirements.

• Manage and review financial statements, management accounts, and cash flow performance.

• Strengthen financial controls, processes, and governance frameworks across the group.

• Collaborate closely with senior leadership and key stakeholders to align financial strategy with business objectives.

• Support ongoing rebranding, repositioning, and growth initiatives from a financial perspective.

• Lead and mentor finance team members, fostering a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Fully qualified accountant with a valid warrant to practice accountancy in Malta.

• A minimum of 3 years’ relevant post-qualification accounting experience.

• Strong knowledge of Maltese accounting standards, tax, and regulatory frameworks.

• Proven ability to manage financial operations in a dynamic, multi-entity environment.

• High level of attention to detail, integrity, and professional judgement.

• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

• Proactive, solutions-driven, and comfortable taking ownership of outcomes.
