Mechanical Project Lead
Location: Malta

The Mechanical Project Lead is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the mechanical elements of Firetech’s projects, ensuring high-quality installations and smooth on-site operations. This role involves providing technical guidance on fire suppression systems, sprinkler systems, fire pumps, dry risers, and related pipework, while leading teams, attending progress meetings, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and supervise on-site mechanical installations, including fire suppression systems, wet firefighting systems, fire pumps, dry risers, and associated pipe fitting.

Provide technical expertise and guidance to project teams, ensuring installations meet company quality standards and regulatory requirements.

Attend project progress meetings, report on site status, and collaborate with stakeholders to maintain alignment and resolve challenges.

Review, interpret, and work from technical drawings, schematics, and datasheets to ensure accurate and efficient execution.

Coordinate daily site operations, supporting technicians and subcontractors while maintaining safety and productivity.

Conduct site inspections and quality checks to ensure compliance with internal processes and industry best practices.

Assist with planning and forecasting material requirements to support uninterrupted project progression.

Uphold workplace safety standards and promote safe practices across all on-site activities.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

Minimum of three years’ experience in a similar role with strong technical expertise in mechanical systems.

Experience leading or coaching on-site personnel, with confidence navigating construction environments.

Positive attitude with strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Comfortable using hand tools and able to work at heights when required.

Ability to prepare, understand, and interpret technical drawings and datasheets.

Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple project tasks effectively.

A valid driving licence is required.

Proficiency in relevant project or technical software is considered an advantage.
