ELV
Installers
ELV Installers assist in the overall connection of ELV systems in accordance with the available technical drawings and client requirements in order to provide smart and intelligent access control, security, as well as the required infrastructure for data, security, audio and video systems.
Duties & Responsibilities

Ensuring the timely installation and maintenance of Extra low voltage systems (ELV) for domestic, commercial and industrial applications;

Carry out and oversee the planned and reactive maintenance on Fire Alarm Systems (including smoke and heat detection) & ELV systems such as CCTV, access control, Intercom, PA equipment.

The installation, alteration and extension of wiring systems at client’s premises, including any maintenance required on equipment and ELV fixtures;

Support with commissioning and handing over finished systems to clients;

Assist with providing solutions to troubleshooting – including the diagnosing of malfunctions and carrying out repairs to rectify problems;

Follow technical and engineering drawings whilst ensuring that works are in line with best practice and internal expert advice;

Participate in the Health, Safety and risk programs including risk assessment of planned and reactive maintenance work activities, whilst also ensuring compliance to internal H&S procedures;

Manage the requisition of tools, parts and consumables;

Maintain and update records of works on a daily basis;
Skills, Qualifications & Attributes:
-
Relevant industry qualifications and/or experience;
-
Ability to use basic hand tools and working at heights;
-
Be able to read and understand technical drawings and datasheets;
-
A valid Driving License;
-
Exposure to moving mechanical parts and outdoor weather conditions.

Moderate noise level.
-
Physical activity for prolonged periods.
-
Ability to push and pull and carry objects up to 30 kg.
