Finance Manager
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Finance Manager shall be responsible for the day-to-day function of the finance department in various duties and responsibilities.
Main Responsibilities

Act as a reference point and supports the finance team with technical queries and monitor their technical and career development.

Monitor the day-to-day financial operations within the company, such as accounts payables and accounts receivables and treasury.

Ensure that all relevant rules, regulations, and requirements pertaining to the accounting function are always adhered to.

Support with the computation of the company’s payroll function.

Responsible for performing the month-end procedures and generating the monthly management accounts.

Ensure that financial information is timely and accurate and be able to report such information to internal and external stakeholders.

Review the company’s financial information with the Chief Financial Officer to identify areas of potential improvement.

Stay abreast with technological, technical and compliance advancements.

Compiling statutory reports for review such as Vat Returns and FSS forms.

Compiling statutory surveys, such as NSO.
-
Approving the posting of payable invoices.

Preparation for and managing the external financial audit.

Liaise with external stakeholders (auditors, bank relationship managers etc.)

Assists the CFO in managing cash flow and is responsible for authorising payments.

Develop budgets and financial plans for the company based on research and reports.

Responsible for general management functions, including the recruitment of team members and handling of the company’s performance management process for the finance team.

Any other duties as from time to time reasonably be required.
The chosen candidate will have the following skills, qualifications and attributes:

A warranted Accountant, having a Tertiary level of education with a degree in Accounting or equivalent, such as ACCA, or working towards achieving such qualification;

Three years post-qualification experience working in a finance role;

A conscientious approach to work with a high degree of integrity;

An organised and methodical approach;

A team player with a can-do attitude;

Sound payroll knowledge and/or experience using Shireburn Indigo will be considered an asset;

Sound knowledge of Accounting Standards;
-
Experience using ERP solutions will be considered an asset.
